I-79 is a newer road (built mostly in the 1970's) that is in excellent condition with hardly any traffic. It has some nice views from Morgantown to Charleston, but is so remote in places that it can get a bit boring, just put your cruise control on and stay between the lines...not the thrill that the WV Turnpike is, but an overall quality piece of Interstate.
